I have also used a cheap harmony to do the same thing before. I used one of the old school programmable All in One's to set up the fire TV controls on my system, then I copy them over to the URC and create my macros from it. The only way I could stop it was by programming the flirc with a different remote, then transferring the setup over to the URC remote. (If I remember correctly) The problem I kept having with the flirc is the URC would register double presses even if I wasn't setting it to double press. For example, in the flirc software, you can tell the play button to be the up button. It only cares what key presses are set up to be registered by the flirc. The flirc doesn't care what the codes are. I am a huge URC fan, so they are the only remotes I use.
